One simple variant involves changing the number of suits in the game from 5 to other numbers of suits. Common changes on hanab.live are 3, 4, and 6 suits.
The most common variants change the game by including a special suit: one which does not follow the normal rules of suits. These special suits largely fall into two categories: ones which change in what clues touch the cards, and ones which change the cards themselves, sometimes including the order thet cards can play in.
